Dr. Tommy Wood
Tommy Wood is a UK-trained MD with a PhD in physiology and neuroscience. Tommy received an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge before attending medical school at the University of Oxford. After working as a junior doctor in central London, he moved to Norway for his PhD, and then to the University of Washington as a postdoc. The majority of his academic work has focused on developing therapies for brain injury in new born infants, but he has also published on a variety of other topics including multiple sclerosis and metabolic diseases, as well as nutritional approaches to sports performance.
